RF ENGINEER III – Team Lead for East Michigan

Lead for the wireless network in East Michigan. Responsibilities include end to end network analysis,

Performance monitoring, expansion, enhancement, optimization and throughput improvement.

Network and site level troubleshooting, statistical analysis; KPIs and parameters compliance; resolving

customer issues.

Core, backhaul and site level troubleshooting, traffic analysis, capacity planning and traffic balancing.

  · Worked with the product development team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). The project

involved development of Radio planning tool, PLANET on the Database Management platform

and addition of new advanced features for network planning and optimization. The job

responsibilities included transfer of radio knowledge to predominantly software environment,

defining the product functional requirement specifications to make sure they are in line with the

needs of the cellular network planner.

  · Worked closely with the research team in Stockholm, Sweden, on a project for the development

of 3-Dimensional ray tracing model for RF propagation in dense urban areas, applicable to all

cell types.

  · Completed an assignment for BT-Cellnet (O2), one of the GSM cellular operators in the United

Kingdom. Worked on the frequency planning for the south-eastern part of the country including

the city of London. Was part of the team for the integration of microcells into the network.

Radio Network Design Engineer - Ericsson Communications

  · Worked on the project for RF planning, network design and optimization of GSM system for the

Gujarat Telecom circle. The network being designed for Birla AT&T Communications limited,

operator for the states of Gujarat & Maharashtra in the western part of India. Major cities like

Ahmadabad, Baroda and Surat were part of the network.

RF Engineer - LCC International

Mar 1996 – May 1997

  · Worked on the project for the design of GSM networks for the states of Haryana, UP West and

Kerala in India. The network was being planned for Lucent Technologies / ESCOTEL Mobile

Communications Ltd. Was responsible for the model tuning, site selections, drive tests and

optimization of the network.
